To take all the good with all the bad, to love the midwest for what it is. To take the emotions wrapped up in a place, in a relationship, in our families, and share them with lyre and lyric. To grow up swathed in the family tradition — guitars and voices encircled, singing the songs they’ve learned and the ones their elders taught them. Carrying on that tradition was always plan A. And now — to take up the mantle, to carry the torch of my progenitors.

Ethridge is a midwest singer-songwriter with a midwest heart. He grew up learning to play Steve Earl, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and Dwight Yoakam while watching his cousins hands in the family band. Ethridge now hones his own songwriting craft — writing candid narratives and spinning honest yarns.
